• a healing practice I founded which is deeply rooted in the principles
of West African and Kemetic (Egyptian) indigenous spirituality.
In a transformative journey through an African initiatic process, I dedicated 13 years to studying ancient West African healing modalities, seeking enlightenment and wisdom.

  • However, this path revealed a harsh truth: while the knowledge of healing in itself was authentic and real, leaders on the path I was on utilized it for exploitation, scamming and lying after the original teacher passed away, and I found myself ensnared in a cult-like environment.

  • This realization underscored the vital importance of integrity in healing and spiritual growth, prompting me to make the courageous decision to leave that chapter behind. Today, I channel my extensive knowledge and experiences into Wasseker House, committed to fostering authentic healing and spiritual growth.

  • Inspired by the strength of the African healing deity Amsu (from “Meramsu”) and guided by the wisdom of my ancestors, I strive to uplift and empower others through genuine practices that honor tradition without exploitation.

  • Having spent over a decade building someone else’s house that turned out to be a façade, I am now dedicated to building my house: Wasseker House—a sanctuary rooted in integrity and ethical healing obligations where my family, my children, and the world will genuinely benefit from the gifts life has bestowed upon us

  • Join me on this journey of healing, enlightenment, and renewal.
Together, we will create a space where your spiritual growth
and healing are nurtured with care, responsibility, and ethical integrity.

What’s the meaning of “Wasseker”?

Wasseker, like “Meramsu” and all other Wasseker family members’ names, is a hieroglyphic name determined by divination. In our culture we learn that before birth all people on the planet come pre-loaded with a mission and set of tools necessary to fulfill that mission. This is why some people are naturally great at certain intellectual activities, sports, teaching, or learning languages. It’s likely they were born to do it.

Divinations interrogate or question the Earth about exactly what that mission is for a particular person. The practice of name divination can be found in dozens of cultures worldwide including Ifa, Korea’s palja, the Inuit atiq, naam karan from the Sikh culture, and the Nepalese nwaran, among others.

After verifying a destiny the diviner is then tasked with assigning an appropriate name to reflect that individual’s destiny.

A “wass” is a staff/sceptre that you commonly see in depictions of divinities on Egyptian artwork and represents power, serenity, and the capability to control the chaos that evil brings forth in life.

“Seker” is the name of a divinity that assists with the mummification process and also has ties with the renowned “Opening of the Mouth” ceremony.

Together, Wasseker implies a person with the characteristics to assist with funerals, mourning, and bring peace of mind and serenity, especially in times of death.

A person living according to the name that’s unique to their life experience in the past, present, and future is equipped physically, philosophically, and spiritually for their life’s path and any subsequent challenges.

  • Zmara
Ra restores

    Zmara - "Ra restores"

As the oldest child in the Wasseker nest, Zmara is especially responsible and disciplined, so much so that she often does sugar or meat fasts of her own volition. Zmara is highly observant–a key trait of an effective healer–and displays a genuine connection with nature, and love for justice, good health, and humanity. She’s kind-hearted and empathetic, yet fierce when needed, instinctively bringing things back into balance—whether she’s guiding her siblings, speaking out against injustice like poaching, or quietly restoring beauty by picking up trash on her block.  With the heart of a healer, Zmara is driven by a deep desire to protect and preserve life—in her family, her community, and the natural world.

  • Shepsete
Noble woman

    Shepsete - "Noble woman"

Shepsete came into life with keen spiritual predispositions that often surprise her parents and family. One is that she always shows up in a conversation at the most noteworthy time, which ends up serving as a teaching moment for anyone around because that moment emphasizes the truth, validity or importance of what’s being said. When she makes up her mind to do something she doesn’t stop until she achieves it—better hope that thing is your healing! This strong yet elegant initiative makes you feel welcomed and well taken care of when in her presence.

  • Nedjsahu
Protector of the Nobles

Nedjsahu - "Protector of the Nobles"

Nejsahu is the Wasseker Family’s first born son, and his powerful yet generous attitude reflects this. He uses his physical strength for fun, but also to help his younger brother or his sisters when in need. His affinity for adventure makes him naturally brave and unafraid of making decisions he sees as necessary to accomplish the goal at hand–even if that means taking those bitter medicines. These elements combined produce a strong, young leader who may use his skills not only for his family but also for your health and well-being.

  • Meznuhek
Child of the Guardian of Hek

Meznuhek - "Child of the Guardian of Hek"

Don’t let Meznuhek’s size fool you. Even at two years old he acts twice his age, as he’s the first in line to take his cleansing teas and medicines. Meznuhek takes his meditation time seriously, and his fearlessness and swift aptitude for learning new things are indispensable assets in his path to become a powerful healer.

  • Meramsu
The brave man of Amsu

Meramsu - "The brave man of Amsu"

Meramsu has a compelling, unique, and somewhat unusual background—one that has shaped his ability to assess situations from multiple angles, find dynamic solutions, and bring depth, care, and insight to his healing work. He is the descendant of Tulsa Race Massacre survivors, Isaiah Bishop Scott—hailed by multiple U.S. newspapers in the 1800s as the “Best Educated Negro”—Korean royalty, and Southern women deeply rooted in indigenous spirituality.

He is a trilingual, Korean-speaking man whose dynamic ancestry and lived experiences have naturally positioned him to walk in greatness and hold the gift of healing with reverence and responsibility. For over a decade, Meramsu has studied West African healing traditions firsthand—learning not from textbooks but through direct transmission in villages, bushlands, towns, and kitchens where ancestral wisdom lives and breathes.

Working with Meramsu is not just receiving guidance—it’s stepping into a living legacy shaped by ancestral resilience and strengthened by his deep, lived commitment to healing through study, experience, and intention.
